LPD: Driver trying to avoid bicyclist hit from behind
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A busy stretch of New Circle Road in Lexington was closed for a time Monday night after a rear-end collision between two cars as the lead driver was trying to avoid hitting a bicyclist, according to Lexington Police.
Investigators say around 9:43 p.m., the driver of a car stopped for a bicyclist in the road and was hit from behind by another car.
Police say there were minor injuries. They also say the cyclist was gone by the time officers arrived. Investigators do not thing the cyclist was hurt.
