Firefighters battle fiery crash in Rockcastle County
ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Brodhead firefighters say a car and a semi truck crashed just after 5 p.m. on 150 near highway 70 Sunday night causing a massive fire that shot flames into the air.
According to firefighters, one person was trapped in the truck, but got out.
That person’s condition is unknown.
They also say the truck was carrying an unknown substance that could’ve started the fire.
A hazmat crew was on scene to clean up diesel.
Traffic had to be shut down in both directions while firefighters worked to contain the fire.
