Cars damaged by “spike strips,” say Georgetown police
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Georgetown, Kentucky police say many vehicles were damaged by what appeared to be homemade “spike strips” at a local dealership.
Police say it happened Tuesday (4/16) at Dan Cummins, near the detail shop.
Pictures posted to GPD’s Facebook page show the spike strips were made of cardboard with screws pushed into the strips.
Police say the vehicles were damaged by the strips, because they were hard to see in the dark.
Drivers are being cautioned to stay vigilant if you’re traveling the next few days.
GDP is looking for surveillance videos in the area to try to see if they can identify any suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Johnson at 502-863-7820.
