Funeral arrangements set for UK Dance Team member
Kate Kaufling, 20, lost her battle with bone cancer on Sunday
(WTVQ) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for a University of Kentucky dance team member who died after a battle with cancer.
The school says 20-year-old Kate Kaufling died Sunday, March 31st, from osteosarcoma — a form of bone cancer.
The university says Kaufling, from Louisville, joined the dance team with her twin sister, Abby, last fall.
A visitation for Kaufling will take place on Monday, April 8th, from 2pm until 8pm at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home on Bardstown Road.
A second visitation will be held at the same location on Tuesday from 10am until 1pm, followed by the funeral service.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family pay for funeral expenses. So far, more than $100,000 has been raised.
