Charges against former child care director expunged

LEXINGTON, KY. (WTVQ) – Sex abuse charges against former One Parent Scholar House site director Adam Wieser have been expunged.

In July of 2023, Wieser was accused of raping and sexually assaulting a 4-year old.

Wieser waived his right to a formal arraignment.

According to Wieser’s attorney, John P Sienkiewicz, the Commonwealth failed to secure an indictment against Wieser in the allotted six month period.

In an email statement sent to ABC36 News, Sienkiewicz said they waited 8 months for the Commonwealth to secure an indictment, but says it was unable to do so.

“Therefore, we moved forward with expungement,” said the statement, in part. “This encourages the Commonwealth to only charge defendants when they have evidence to support an indictment. As we have maintained from the beginning, Adam is innocent.”
