Morehead man killed in Chicago hit and run

CHICAGO, IL (WTVQ) – A Morehead man died early Sunday morning as he and four others tried to walk up an exit ramp on the Eisenhower expressway in Chicago.

According to police, 27-year-old Anan Albalawi from Morehead was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police say around a quarter to five he and four others tried to get out of a broken down taxi and walk up the Homan Avenue exit ramp.

As they walked up it, state police say a car hit them from behind and drove off.

While Albalawi died on the scene, the four other men were taken to the hospital and are expected to live.
