Police search for man responsible for several robberies

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Police say an attempted robbery they responded to Saturday afternoon is similar to several others they’ve worked recently.

Officers say that’s because of the suspect description.

The man was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a camouflage mask.

This time, that man is accused of robbing the Family Dollar near the Golden Corral on East New Circle Road in Lexington.

Police say he came into the store, showed a knife and tried to get into the cash register as everyone in the store ran into the back room.

He apparently couldn’t get into the register so he ran away, but police haven’t been able to find him.
