Former President Obama’s bracket has Kentucky in the NCAA Championship game, picks UConn to win
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Many experts agree UK’s Men’s Basketball team is one of the hottest going into the NCAA tournament.
The Wildcats play Oakland in the round of 64 in Pittsburgh Thursday night and recent play has caught the eye of some well-known basketball fans, including former President Barack Obama.
The former president showed up with his picks for the tournament Tuesday morning (3/19) on Coach Cal’s podcast, “Ways to Win.” He co-hosts the podcast with Craig Robinson, the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Robinson also has a famous brother-in-law, that being none other than Barack Obama, which might explain his appearance on the podcast, or, that Higher Ground Media, a company founded by the former president and his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama (Robinson’s sister), produces it.
The former president took that time to reveal his bracket, in which he has Kentucky’s men’s basketball team in the championship game against the UConn Huskies. While Mr. Obama is high on UK’s team, he’s picked the Huskies to come away with the championship win.
