Kentucky States University moves commencement indoors due to inclement weather
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State University officials announced Thursday that its 129th Commencement Convocation will be moved indoors due to the inclement weather.
The university says the possible threat of severe weather, including thunderstorms and lightning, during the commencement ceremonies led to the decision.
The ceremonies are taking place Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 in the gymnasium of the William Exum Center.
Officials are encouraging commencement attendees to arrive early since seating is limited.
The Carl H. Smith Auditorium and the Little Theatre in David H. Bradford Hall will serve as overflow locations.
