Fall is in Full Swing at Two Sisters Pumpkin Patch
MT. STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ): Two Sisters Pumpkin Patch is celebrating 20 years in the business. The pumpkin patch is owned by two sisters, Andrea and Alicia and is on the land their family has owned for over 100 years.
Each generation has had the opportunity to purchase the farm from the generation before. Alicia and her husband purchased the farm over 15 years ago and they currently live on the property. Alicia explained, “We all live on the farm, we enjoy the farm and it’s a family farm.”
They were inspired to start a pumpkin patch 20 years ago when Andrea started hearing about agricultural diversification and after a lot of research it seemed like the way to go.
As most siblings know, you always have your moments, but both sisters say they love working together and use their varying strengths in the business.
Two Sisters offers pumpkin picking tractor hay rides, horse drawn wagon rides with beautiful Belgian horses, barrel train rides, corn maze and pumpkin painting. Enjoy a ride through the farm and stop in the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin!
The pumpkin patch also does birthday parties, company picnics, school tours, church parties, bonfires, group events and more.
Two Sister’s is also a part of the Covenant Friendship Ministry, a faith based non-profit that supports troubled youth. They have these teens over once a week to encourage them to find a better path in life and support them. The business holds a big fundraiser each season to help fund this important cause.
