UPDATE: The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 17-year old Kenlon Johnson of Lexington.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are searching for a suspect in an early morning deadly shooting.

According to police, a man died from his injuries after being taken to the hospital.

Police say the shooting happened just before 3:40 this morning (Friday), on Rockaway Place.

They say when officers arrived there, they found the victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police say the Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name.
