Conference highlights judge/executive working relationships
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Kentucky County Judge/Executive Winter Conference officially began at 8 a.m. in Lexington.
The purpose of the event is to work for the improvement of county government in the Commonwealth.
The conference promotes the vision that all county judges and executives should have the opportunity to act together to solve common problems.
“All 120 counties came to an agreement on their projects not once, but in two separate rounds. You all showed that you can get the job done. You can make sure none of the rest gets in the way of this. We’re really proud of the fact that projects were approved in every single county and we’re gonna push harder to make sure they move forward,” Gov. Andy Beshear said.
The event will last from now until 3 p.m. Thursday at the Griffin Gate Marriott Hotel.
