AMBER Alert canceled, missing 5-year-old Ky. girl found safe
PRINCETON, Ky. (WTVQ)

The AMBER Alert has been canceled, KSP said in an update.
Lela and her father were both found by KSP Post 2, which oversees Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd and Webster counties.
Byron was arrested at the scene.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 5-year-old Western Kentucky girl who may have been taken by her father.
According to the alert, on Sunday, Kentucky State Police were sent to a home where Lela Black lives. Once there, KSP saw Lela’s mother, Kelly Black, had been killed by a gunshot wound to the back of her head. Lela was nowhere to be found.
Lela and her father, Byron Black, haven’t been heard from since Friday, Jan. 26.
She’s believed to be with Byron, who now has an arrest warrant for the murder of Kelly.
He’s believed to be armed and dangerous, the alert said.
Lela is described as the following:
- 5-year-old white girl
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
- 3 feet 6 inches tall
- 40 pounds
Byron is described as the following:
- 42-year-old white man
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
- 6 feet tall
- 180 pounds
Both are believed to be in a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado with California plates 5J83779. The paint is peeling off the truck’s hood as well.
Byron is believed to have fled from the 200 block of Center Street in Princeton.
Princeton is about 3 hours southwest of Lexington.
