Big turnout for “March for Life” Rally
Frankfort, Ky (WTVQ): Pro-life Kentuckians gathered in Frankfort today for Kentucky’s March For Life following the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wad.
Kentuckians at the march say they are using this event to send the message that every human being is valuable and worthy of protection advocating to end abortions. Hundreds of people gathered at the Capitol to fight for the end of abortion.
“There’s a national right to life and we’re taking it to the states and that’s where the fight is,” said Father John Moriarty, who traveled from Lexington. “I’m here today to stand for life from the moment of conception till natural death and let our legislators know that we believe that human life is sacred.”
The event began on East Second Street followed by a pre-rally concert in the capitol rotunda after the concert, people got to hear from pro-life leaders and advocates. According to March For Life, a national non-profit organization Roe v. Wade resulted in the loss of more than 60 million lives due to abortion. A
ccording to March For Life, more than 32,000 lives have been saved since the reversal of Roe v. Wade.
This march brought people from all over Kentucky.
Will Fuller traveled from Covington, and Rhonda Brown came down from Walton.
“But we still need to convert the hearts of people,” Fuller said. “That’s really what the issue is all about. Politics can only get you so much,” said Brown.
“I’m 33 years post-abortive,” Brown said. “So, God has delivered me from the bondage that I was in. So, I’m here for the unborn, but also for the women that have lived in that silence.”
