UPDATE: Water back on in Martin Co.; boil water advisory still in effect

MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Martin County Water District says in a Facebook post that the water in some areas has been turned back on, but a county wide boil water advisory is still in effect.
They say they will be turning the water off from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and this will impact customers from Buck Creek to the Pike County line. the Hode area, the entrance of Rt. 2032 to the Pike County line, Pigeon Roost, and North Wolf Creek.

MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – More problems for the already troubled Martin County Water District.
Water was shut off to all customers on Tuesday after the district says several main lines broke.
The Martin County Water District has been making repairs to the system for the past few days, leaving some customers without water.
On Tuesday, the district posted on Facebook that the initial problems with the system were repaired but that it caused “several main lines to blow out” and water was being shut off to the entire district.
The Martin County School District dismissed student at 12:30 p.m. because there was no running water in the schools.
The Martin County Water District has been plagued with problems for years.
After several customers were left without running water for weeks because of issues with an intake pump and service pipes earlier this year, the state announced it was launching an investigation into the water district’s management.
