Lexington man lead police on a two county chase

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — State Police say a Lexington man was arrested after leading police on a 20-mile long chase.

The chase happened early Monday morning.

State Police say 27-year-old Dontae Thompson, of Lexington, refused to roll down his window and give his information to Salyersville Police at a safety check on Route 114.

Thompson then drove off bumping a police officer with his car and knocking him to the ground, according to officials. No serious injuries were reported.

The chase started in Magoffin County and lasted until Floyd County.

State Police say it ended when Thompson turned and stopped at Floyd County Circuit Judge Johnny Harris’ driveway.
