Churchill Downs announces new chairman and board members

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- A new chairman and board members were announced Tuesday during the Annual Meeting of Shareholders of Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI).

Alex Rankin has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors and Karole Lloyd as a new board member along with William Carstanjen, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company.

Lloyd and Carstanjen have been elected as Class I Directors and will serve a term for 3 years that will expire at the 2021 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

Lloyd was elected to the Audit Committee of the Board during the Board of Directors meeting following the Annual Meeting.

Prior to Rankin’s election, Watts Humphrey served as Chairman of the Board.
