Lincoln Co. deputy jailer finds woman broke into, cleaned, slept in her home
LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- We hear about a lot of break-ins, but this one is ironic.
In Lincoln County, a deputy jailer came home to find a woman inside her home.
The jail says the deputy noticed her home was cleaner than she had left it.
In the kitchen, she says she ran into 38-year-old Heather Owens.
She asked Owens why she was in her house.
Owens asked her the same question then reportedly went after the deputy jailer with a knife.
The deputy chased her out of the house where sheriff’s deputies arrested her.
Owens had reportedly cleaned the deputy jailer’s home, fed her pets, took a shower, and slept in her bed, but now she’s sleeping in a bed in the jail as she faces burglary and drug charges.
