Lexington Police Find Clark County Suspect
Law enforcement in two counties joined forces to catch the man they believe robbed a Winchester convenience store early Monday morning.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Department said employees at the Apple Market Shell station told them a man came into the store, showed a gun and demanded money.
They said he got the money he wanted and then ran off.
Police in Lexington said they noticed a car matching the description of the suspect’s near the intersection of Todds Road and North Cleveland Road shortly after.
When they stopped the car, police said they could see cash scattered inside the car.
The driver allowed police to search the car and police said they found a large amount of cash, matching what was taken in the Winchester robbery.
Clark County Sheriff’s officials came to the scene and took the man into custody.
