‘Major leak’ at Ohio County, Ky. power plant injures 3, shuts down highway

CENTERTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) — A “major leak” in a power plant located in Ohio County, Kentucky has injured three people and shut down a highway due to low visibility.

The DB Wilson Power Plant near the McLean County/Ohio County line is experiencing a leak in one of its ash silos.

The leak has injured three people, according to ABC affiliate WEHT.

KY Route 85 near the scene is closed and traffic is being diverted.

Sheriff Adam Wright is asking the public to use caution and be aware of emergency responders in the area.

No other information was immediately available.

Ohio County is about 2 and a half hours southwest of Fayette County.
