Ohio man accused of trying to have sex with minor in Kentucky

FRANKFORT, KY. (WTVQ) – An Ohio man is indicted in Kentucky for seeking sex with a minor, according to Kentucky’s Attorney General.

Andy Beshear says 42-year-old Carl Wayne Lowe, of Dayton, was arrested as part of a two-month investigation by the state’s Department of Criminal Investigations Cyber Crimes Unit.

Lowe was arrested April 16 in Dayton by the FBI after investigators say he tried to entice a minor online to have sex.

The charges against Lowe include one count of unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth of Kentucky to induce a minor or engage in sexual or other prohibited activities, and one count of being a persistent felony offender.

Lowe is currently in jail in Ohio awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
