3 juveniles charged with fleeing from Lexington police in stolen car

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Three juveniles have been arrested and are charged with fleeing from Lexington police in a stolen car last week.

On Dec. 6, officers in the Tates Creek Road area saw a Flock license plate reader alert that a reported stolen vehicle may be in the area.

When an officer tried to stop the stolen vehicle, the vehicle fled, according to police.

Officers eventually found the car and saw three juveniles inside.

They were arrested at the scene and charged with the following:

  • 16 year old
    • Fleeing/evading on foot
    • Receiving stolen property ($1,000 <$10,000)
  • 15 year old
    • Fleeing/evading on foot
    • Receiving stolen property ($1,000 <$10,000)
  • 15 year old
    • Fleeing/evading on foot
    • Fleeing/evading in a motor vehicle
    • Receiving stolen property ($1,000 < $10,000)

Their names will not be released since they’re juveniles, police added.
