Man injured after robbery, shooting in Richmond

RICHMOND, Ky (WTVQ)- In Richmond, police are investigating after a person was taken to the hospital after being shot.

Richmond police say they responded around 7:19 p.m. Friday to Holly Street after a report of a robbery.

They say a man had walked to a nearby home to ask for help. The man had been shot multiple times.

Th victim told officers he was shot in the area of Pine Street. The victim was rushed to a medical facility for treatment.

Detectives have been working to identify a suspect.
