Woman arrested after stabbing in Knox County

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says one woman was taken into custody over the weekend following a stabbing.

Deputies say they responded to a report of a fight involving two women at a house on KY 223 in Dewitt on Saturday at around 3 p.m.

While on their way to the home, deputies were told one of the women was suffering from a stab wound and was on her way to a hospital in Barbourville.

Deputies went to the home and say they learned that 34-year-old Michelle Shawn Gray pulled out a pocket knife during the fight and stabbed the victim in the arm.

Gray is charged with assault and tampering with physical evidence.
