Corbin police announce roundup of drug arrests over past month

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) — Corbin police announced a roundup of drug arrests spanning over the past month in the city.

Here’s a list of the alleged crimes:

On Oct. 3, a Corbin police officer recognized a vehicle that was reported as stolen to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The officer stopped the car, confirmed it was stolen and after a search, allegedly found drugs and evidence of trafficking methamphetamine.

Julie Moore, 43, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property ($10,000 or more), trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Oct. 9, an officer applied for and was granted a search warrant on a home in southern Laurel County based on an investigation. Along with that officer, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and London Police Department executed the search warrant and one person was arrested from the search.

Stephen Eaton, 57, was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Oct. 28, an officer stopped a vehicle and after an investigation, said an occupant had a warrant for his arrest. After a search, the officer allegedly found heroin.

Marcus Hollin, 24, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

On Oct. 29, an officer stopped a person after “observing him behaving suspiciously.” A search of the person resulted in alleged drugs and associated paraphernalia.

Tommy Francis, 34, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Oct. 30, an officer conducted an investigation alongside Highway 25 in southern Laurel County. During the investigation, a woman was arrested and accused of having drugs and associated paraphernalia.

Brandi Messer, 31, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substances not in a proper container.

On Nov. 3, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and found an occupant with a warrant. The officer allegedly found drugs on that person as well.

Michael Spradlin, 40, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and prescription controlled substances not in a proper container.

On Nov. 4, two officers stopped a vehicle in northern Corbin. After a search, drugs and associated paraphernalia were allegedly found inside the car and on a female passenger.

Christina Eversole, 34, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and a controlled sub-prescription not in a proper container.
