1 dead, 2 injured after motorcycle, car collide in Morehead

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) — One person died and two more were injured after a motorcycle and car collided in Morehead Sunday night.

According to the Morehead Police Department, around 8:17 p.m. yesterday the collision happened on KY 32 at the intersection of West Sun Street.

A motorcycle had reportedly collided with a car.

Both people on the motorcycle, a 47-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital.

The man, later identified as Matthew Coursin, died.

The woman has life-threatening injuries and is being treated at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

A passenger in the car was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
