Ohio kidnapping victim found safe in Madison Co., Kentucky; 2 arrested
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) — An Ohio kidnapping victim was found safe in Madison County, Kentucky, Tuesday morning.
Kentucky State Police received a nationwide alert around 7:30 a.m. about a possible abduction in Wayne County, Ohio.
Ohio State Highway Patrol contacted KSP’s Richmond Post about a cellphone ping on I-75 in Lexington, heading south to Tennessee.
A KSP trooper saw the vehicle on I-75 in Madison County around the 95-mile marker and stopped the vehicle, KSP said in a press release.
The alleged driver, Anthony Grinnel, and a passenger, William Tate, were both arrested.
Grinnel, of Cleveland, Ohio, is charged with unlawful imprisonment, operating on a suspended/revoked license and failure to/improper signal; Tate, of Newland, North Carolina, is charged with possession of a defaced firearm.
The victim was found safe inside the vehicle.
