Youth Violence Conference

Several workshops and seminars were held throughout the day as professionals, community leaders and youth advocates shared ideas and information about curbing youth violence.

The conference came about as a result of a recommendation by the Commission of Youth Development and Public safety.

The recommendation followed a string of youth violence in the summer of 2011 in which 11 youths were involved in shootings.
