Lexington police investigate after three people injured in Sunday shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ)- Lexington are investigating after three people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning.
new video into the ABC 36 newsroom monday shows allegedly what happened following a shooting Sunday morning. The video taken by a nearby neighbor shows police cars along Windermere Road. You can see police tape marking the area off and cars parked along the street.
Police say they were called to the 3000 block of Windermere Road shortly around 3:04 A.M. for a noise complaint from a party on a property. The property, we’re told, is often rented out as an Airbnb.
Mooskie Reynolds was tasked with cleaning this home.
“This one is technically not on my normal schedule. I just got gifted this one yesterday. Yeah,” says Reynolds.
Reynolds says she arrived hours after the shooting took place. She says police were still on scene.
“It was pretty hectic. I had heard that three people got shot but yeah, not until i got in there did i realize it was that bad,” says Reynolds.
Reynolds says people had left their cars and belongings behind.
“There was still police and people everywhere just I don’t know, looking for stuff, whatever got left behind,” says Reynolds.
Lexington police say when officers arrived, they say they heard gunshots and found a man and woman who’d been shot. Both were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another woman also arrived at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.
The latest Lexington police crime data shows Sunday morning’s shootings are the city’s 73rd, 74th, and 75th assaults with a firearm of the year. In 2022, there were 119 assaults with a firearm. 2021 had 135.
The investigation remains ongoing.
