Pregnant woman, man shot in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A pregnant woman and a man are recovering after being shot near Charles Avenue in Lexington Sunday night.

Those injuries are non life threatening according to Lexington Police.

Police say they got a call about shots fired on Whitney and Michigan around 10 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they helped a man who was shot in the leg.

While investigating, a witness told police they believed another person was shot. That turned out to be the pregnant woman who was soon taken to the hospital.

As police searched this area, they found several shell casings in the street as well as several cars with bullet holes in them.

Police add that they currently do not have any suspects.
