UPDATE: Two soldiers killed during training exercise at Ft. Campbell

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-There are two deaths to report from Fort Campbell.

The army says two soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash Friday night.

It happened in a training exercise on the base which is on the Kentucky-Tennessee border.

They were Chief Warrant Officer Ryan Connolly and Warrant Officer James Casadona.

Connolly was 37 and had been with the army since 2001.

Casadona joined in 2012; he was 28-years-old.

Fort Campbell says investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the crash.

The soldiers’ names haven’t been released yet because the army is still notifying their families.
