Grandmother and Granddaughter Shot in Lexington

LEXINGTON, ky. (WTVQ) – A grandmother and her granddaughter were sent to the hospital with non critical injuries after a shooting on Drummond Drive in North Lexington.

According to Lexington Police, several people came to the neighborhood to confront the granddaughter who lives there. Someone from the group pulled out a gun while they were fighting and shot both the granddaughter and her grandmother.

The suspects fled the scene soon after. Police believe the victims know the shooter and hope to work with them to press charges.
