Daughter of accused cop killer charged with assaulting Trooper

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The daughter of a man accused of gunning down a Pikeville Police officer is accused of assaulting a State Trooper.

Investigators say they were called this past Saturday to the home of John Hall, who is in jail, accused of killing Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton last month.

State Police say when they arrived they found Hall’s daughter, 21-year old Santana Hall, of Pikeville, lying on the ground screaming for her father to let her into the house.

Investigators say Santana Hall appeared intoxicated and had slurred speech.  They say when the Trooper tried to put her in the back of his cruiser, she refused and during a scuffle, hit the Trooper in the back of the head.

Eventually Hall was subdued.  She was first taken to a hospital to be checked out then taken to the Pike County Detention Center.

She was charged with Third Degree Assault of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Public Intoxication, among other charges, according to KSP.
