Lexington man is airlifted from house fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man had to be air-lifted to Cincinnati Saturday after a fire in Lexington.

The fire department says the fire started around 3 p.m. in a home on Laverne Court near the Griffin Gate Marriott.

The fire broke out in the kitchen and extended into the attic. Once firefighters arrived, it took them just a few minutes to knock it down.

They found a man in his 60’s passed out just inside the door.

Firefighters didn’t have an update on his condition, but they say no one else was hurt.
