Lawrenceburg man pleads guilty to human trafficking

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)-  Attorney General Andy Beshear and the Department of Criminal Investigations say an Anderson County man has pleaded guilty to human trafficking and seeking sex with a minor.

Charles Wesley Walls, of Lawrenceburg, faces five years in prison, is scheduled to be sentenced April 20.

Officials say the investigation revealed Walls was having explicit conversations online in order to engage in sexual contact and human trafficking with a minor.

The Cyber Crimes Unit says it is part of Beshear’s core mission to keep sexual predators away from Kentucky’s families and children.

Beshear says that Kentuckians have a moral and legal duty to report any instance of child abuse to local law enforcement or to Kentucky’s Child Abuse hotline at 877-597-2331 or 877-KYSAFE1.
