Lexington apartments evacuated after overnight fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Firefighters are still investigating the cause of an overnight fire that forced several people to evacuate their apartments.

Crews say the fire started in the wall of an apartment in a building on North Broadway, which set off smoke detectors throughout the building.

According to firefighters, all residents made it out of the building safely and the fire damage was minor.

Investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started.
