Man arrested after body found in burnt car

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man is accused of murder in Pulaski County after Sheriff’s Deputies found a burnt human body in a car Saturday morning.

That man has been identified as Jorge Martinez.

Deputies say tips led them to a man named Humberto Mesa-Vasquez, a 34-year-old.

They say they found him in clothes with blood stains on them. Through a search warrant, deputies say they figured out the victim was killed at Mesa-Vasquez’s home then taken to the Rush Branch area where the car fire was.

Mesa-Vasquez is charged with Martinez’s murder, arson, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
