Harlan County Principal Arrested on DUI Charge
A Harlan County elementary school principal has been arrested and is facing charges of driving under the influence.
Edwin Stewart, 48, was pulled over yesterday afternoon around 2:30 near the Baxter post office according to police. Jail records show Stewart was arrested and charged with DUI, littering, drinking in a public place and possesion of an open container in a vehicle. Stewart is the principal at Black Mountain Elementary School.
He was released on a $7,500 bond yesterday.
