2 accused of burglarizing deceased man’s home
POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An unusual victim was targeted during a burglary in Powell County.
The Powell County Sheriff says deputies spotted a car in front of a home on Hatton Creek Road on Sunday evening.
The sheriff says the owner of the home, Darrell “Rosie” Rose, had recently passed away and that the home had been hit recently by break-ins.
Deputies say when they went to investigate, they found 43-year-old Jimmy Dale Sparks and 41-year-old Tamara Renee Buckler in the car, along with several items Rose’s family members later said belonged to him
There were also items near the road in front of the home.
The sheriff says Sparks admitted to going into the home and taking items from the home.
Sparks and Buckler are both charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking.
Both are in the Powell County Detention Center.
