Two Accused Of Taking Over $1,700 In Items From Walmart
Two trips to a Walmart ended up landing two people behind bars in Madison county.
According to police, Bryan Jones, 23, and Rebecca Jones, 45, went to the Walmart in Richmond on July 31 and put $1,157.67 worth of merchandise in bags and left the store.
Employees were able to give police a description of the suspects’ vehicle
Police said the two returned to the same Walmart on August 10 and shoplifted $588.00 worth of merchandise.
Three days later, police stopped a vehicle matching the description given in connection to the Walmart shoplifting cases.
Officers said Bryan Jones jumped out of the car and ran. They arrested Rebecca Jones, who was also in the car.
She was charged with theft.
Police arrested Bryan Jones four days later and charged him with theft and fleeing or evading police. In addition, a bench warrant for contempt of court from Lincoln county and an assault and terroristic-threatening charge from Garrard county were also served on Bryan Jones.
