Woman accused of shooting husband

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman after a shooting Saturday afternoon.

Linda Belew, a 54-year-old from Corbin, is accused of shooting her husband.

Deputies say she shot him in the hip around 2:30 p.m. off Hanes Baker Road with a .38 caliber revolver.

After the shooting, Belew went to a neighbor’s house for help.

Her husband was airlifted to UK Med Center with a serious injury, but he is expected to live.

Belew is charged with assault.
