Police Quickly Catch Up With Burglary Suspect
Police quickly tracked down a man they said broke into a woman’s Lexington home early Wednesday morning.
Lexington police were called to the 1600 block of Strader Drive just before 1:30 a.m.
A woman told them she woke up to find a man standing in her bedroom.
The man took off when he realized someone was awake.
Police said they spotted the suspect running down Winchester Road and followed him to a trailer off Eastland Parkway.
They said the suspect, 21-year-old Paul Stokely, took prescription pills and jewelry from the home.
He is charged with burglary, tampering with physical evidence and fleeing an evading.
