LPD: Man threw infant to the ground twice

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man is accused of throwing an infant onto a hardwood floor then picking that baby up and throwing him down again.

Police say it happened on December 14, 2017 at a home on Robertson Street.

According to the arrest citation for 36-year-old Robert Clark, he was holding an 8-month-old when he got into a fight with his pregnant girlfriend, grabbed her by the hair, threw her to the ground then stepped on her throat to hold her down.

Documents say Clark then threw the infant onto the floor, picked him up and threw him again, causing him to hit his head.

Clark ran out of the house when his girlfriend called police.

He was arrested in Ohio and brought back to Lexington on Wednesday.

Clark is charged with wanton endangerment and assault.
