Illinois fugitive caught by KSP

MAYSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) –Kentucky State Police apprehend fugitive from out of state.

31 year-old Verlance D. Hughes of Sterling Illinois was arrested by KSP Tuesday afternoon.

Hughes was wanted in Illinois for residential burglary, home invasion/dangerous weapon, and aggravated battery/use of deadly weapon.

He was wanted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Officer and apprehended by KSP troopers with the help from the Mason County Sheriff’s Officer.

Hughes was lodged in the Mason County Detention Center in Maysville, Kentucky.
