Crews continue to plow, treat roads

Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s been another busy day for road crews in Lexington and around Central Kentucky.

The city of Lexington says street crews have treated and plowed all Rank 1 roads and were working on Rank 2 roads.

On Monday night’s shift, the city says 728 tons of salt was used. The city expects another delivery of salt Tuesday.

The city says since midnight, police report 54 non-injury collisions, and three injury collisions.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says state crews have been treating and plowing routes since 5 p.m. Monday and are continuing to do so Tuesday, with many state roadways still covered with snow.
