Boil water advisory issued for part of Clark County

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two water main breaks in Clark County have been repaired but part of the county is under a boil water advisory.

Winchester Municipal Utilities says crews repaired the water main breaks that happened Friday morning on Old Boonesboro Road and West Lexington Avenue.

On Friday afternoon, Winchester Municipal Utilities issued a boil water advisory for the following roads:

– 3 & 4 Hillcrest
– 101 Calmes
– 2070 Boonesboro Road
– 2070-3140 Old Boonesboro Road
– 112-134 Shanahan Lane
– 224-233 Robert Court

In all, Winchester Municipal Utilities says 67 customers are affected by the boil water advisory.

Each address was tagged with the boil water advisory notice.

Water samples have been sent for testing.

Results are expected to come back Saturday between 2-4 p.m.

Once the advisory is lift, Winchester Municipal Utilities says another tag will be left.
