Special delivery for NICU patients at St. Joseph
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It was a large amount of cheer for some little patients at Saint Joseph East in Lexington.
Volunteers with the Snow Bunny Baby Project visited the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East, delivering a package of items the families can use when their baby leaves the hospital.
Each package contained diapers, baby wipes, a toy, washcloth, a onesie, baby wash and a book.
“It’s not much, what we’re giving them, but it’s just a way to show them that we’re thinking about them, show them some love and get them started when they go with the basic needs,” said Sunny, coordinator of Snow Bunny Baby Project.
This is the third year for the project.
