Former Scott County softball coach arrested on sex abuse charges

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Georgetown Police say they took a former coach into custody on charges of sexual abuse on Friday.

Robert McGee, 53, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and first-degree sodomy.

According to the arrest citation, the abuse involved a single victim and happened when the victim was between the ages of 5-years-old to 12-years-old.

Police say the victim was not involved with the Scott County softball program.
