Commander Doug High returns from Afghanistan

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-  Sunday was a special day for ABC 36 because one of our own is finally home.

Morning Anchor Doug High touched down Sunday at Blue Grass Airport after an almost year long tour of duty with the Naval Reserve.

Doug walked down the airport steps into the arms of his wife and two sons.

Plenty of friends and coworkers were also there to greet him.

He is a commander in the reserve who served in the public affairs office for a NATO-led mission to train and help Afghan security forces.

You can expect Doug back on the air sometime in early 2018.
