Lewis County teenager hurt in accidental shooting

LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A teenager is hurt after what appears to be an accidental shooting Saturday afternoon in Lewis County.

The Herald reports 14-year-old Kaden Lawhorn was holding a pistol on his front porch when he dropped it and it went off.

In the paper, the deputy investigating says the bullet went into Lawhorn’s knee, came out of his thigh and entered his abdomen, hitting his liver.

The boy was airlifted to the hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

He had surgery there to remove the bullet and his prognosis is good.
